Party Time!!

This is our most exhausting time of year, but also my favorite. We have 4 birthdays and 1 anniversary crammed into a very small span of time (just between our little family of 4…this does not take extended family and friends into account).

On March 23, Connor turned 3 and on March 25, Layla turned 2, they are exactly 1 year and 2 days apart! Because they are so close in age I have the unique challenge of combining two parties into one! This year’s theme was “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things!” Party planning is a passion of mine (especially when it comes to my own children) . . . so no detail was left untouched. Connor is completely into trains, diggers and garbage trucks and Layla is all about bubbles, beads and lollipops. I tied the themes together with the color yellow. Connor’s side was all green and yellow and Layla’s was hot pink and yellow.

For Connor’s side of things we had the very talented, Malcolm Hosford come over the day before and build a huge cardboard box train the kids could crawl through and play in . . . it was a hit. There were two sandboxes set up with lots of “diggers” and we played a “recycle the trash” game with toy grabbers.

For Layla, we had huge lollipops displayed, a bubble machine going, a pool filled with balls and balloons and bead necklaces everywhere . . . they were in heaven! Auntie Jan also handmade hot pink tutu’s for the little girls at the party…they were amazing, thank you, Aunt Jan! There are a LOT of pics below (Thank you again Aunt Jan and Aunt Chrissy for taking all the wonderful pics)! :)

The Details:

All the sweet little friends who came!

Connor was so excited his friends from Lulu's came. He was quite the host and welcomer. He made sure everyone was comfortable. He was especially sweet to little Maddie...it was the cutest thing ever!

The recycling game...it was a hit!!

All our wonderful family! Thank you for all you do!!

The pic below is one of my favorite pics from the day!!

A few final pics from the day of the birthday boy, the birthday girl and of my sweet, kind and
extremely patient husband! :)
