Baby See-hul and Papa's Birthday

Before I move on to the grand post from the kids birthday bash (which is a work in progress, to include thank-yous) I wanted to share a couple quick stories of recent events before they get away from me (like everything else). Layla was given from Nana Kat for Easter, two little baby animals for the bathtub, a baby octopus and a baby seal. They are both quite adorable. Well, Layla took a liking to sweet baby seal. Pronounced by Layla as: Baby See-hul (which of course adds to the cuteness). Baby See-hul goes every where with Layla, including to bed, every night. When I go into check on her (like I have done every night since she was born) she is fast asleep, still clutching Baby See-hul. Baby See-hul has stars on his body, so we often sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to Baby See-hul too. May I introduce you to......Baby See-hul:

Last night (this past Thursday) we celebrated Papa's big 60th birthday!! He decided he did not want a big party, just a small gathering with his children and grandchildren, to include a water fight with grandson, Connor. There is history behind the water gun/balloon fight, but I'll save that for another time. Anyhow, water fight ensued and it was perfect...they got soaked!! Then pizza, salad, coconut cake and double chocolate gelato...wonderful little party for Papa!

This is what sissy did while the water fight took place, she wanted no part of it!!

Please ignor nasty shed (which houses horrible critters), and is in the process of being removed from our yard!

What's a party without party hats for cake time??!!

Note the outfit change for Layla. This is a constant in our house.

Layla wanted the party to continue this morning, and so it did!! Happy Birthday Papa!
